Only 600 gorillas remain in the world and half of them are found in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Bwindi National Park offers some of the best montane- forest bird watching in Africa with about 350 recorded different species including rare ones.
Enjoy tracking playful chimpanzees through the dense Kibale forest, the Park with 13 different primate species is one of the best in Africa.
In Kibale Forest, marvel at the various forest, woodland birds including the Prigogine ground thrush endemic only to Uganda.

Itinerary
Arrival at Entebbe International airport. After clearing with customs, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Safari Chapter who will then transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Overnight at 2 friends beach Hotel (BB).

On this day after breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo national park. It is about 280 kilometers south west from Kampala (approximately 5 hours). You will reach at around lunch time, lunch will be served then check in, later in the evening, you will have an exciting evening game drive with a chance of viewing nocturnal animals. KIGARAMA WILDERNESS LODGE
This is a newly established lodge at the Kigarama hills in the outskirts of lake Mburo national park, about 1km from Sanga gate suitable for game drives. It is a spacious lodge with panoramic breath-taking views of the park, with an opportunity for sighting a few wildlife gazing at your doorstep creating beautiful memories. It’s under the umbrella of Hoima cultural lodges.
On this day, after breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park where you will spend two nights at Rushaga Gorilla Camp. (LDBB)
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park is said to be 25.000 years old, making it one of Africa’s most biodiverse habitats. The altitude of this mountain peak ranges from 1200 - 2600 meters. Five rivers and a high annual rainfall make it rather humid. Besides its major attraction, the mountain gorillas (gorilla Berengaria), the National Park is also home to an amazing 120 mammal
species, 350 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies and over 200 species of trees.
It is believed that about 350 gorillas remain in several stable groups in the park. The great protection over the last years has led to a steady increase of the population.
Although best known for its mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest also attracts spectacular birds. Overnight at the Rushaga gorilla lodge. (LDBB).
RUSHAGA GORILLA CAMP This lodge is located in the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, only 10 minutes’ walk to the park Rushaga tracking gate. It is also close to Nyakagezi and Nkuringo tracking gates. The lodge has several amenities to make in place and this gives its visitors a memorable and comfortable stay. There is a range of options from Luxury cottages to standard rooms. The lodge also has ample parking space that can accommodate all vehicles even on full house. Close to the lodge is the Batwa community and some craft shops where you can buy accessories to also support the them. While here, one can choose to visit Lake Bunyonyi or even go for Golden tracking in Mgahinga national park.
Early morning breakfast to give you the energy needed for your gorilla trek.
Before 8 am report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers; the guides will then take you through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas.
The trek can take from half an hour to 7 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, long sleeved shirt to protect one in case of thorns in the forest, a pair of gloves, rain protection gears because the Bwindi weather is so unpredictable and a mask in cases where one has an infection and for the protection of the mountain gorillas. After breakfast, you will set off to Queen Elizabeth national park. This park was named after the Queen Elizabeth 11 of Great Britain. This is the second largest park after Murchison falls national park. This park boasts some of the most magnificent views in the western arm of the great rift valley, it gushes with a remarkable variety of ecosystems, from semi-deciduous tropical forest to green meadows, savannahs, swamps and a rare set of climbing tree lions found in Ishasha jungle. TWIN LAKES SAFARI LODGE
is a rustic and intimate lodge set in the beautiful surroundings of the Bunyaruguru great crater field in Uganda. Located just outside the Queen Elizabeth National Park at 270m above the plains, with the breath-taking views of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lakes Edward and George, the Rwenzori Mountain ranges, Sunrise and Sunset are simply amazing.
Wake up to the sound of wild life, after a delicious breakfast, drive off for an interesting game drive. After lunch, you will get to experience a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel that connects both Lake Edward and Lake George. Overnight at Twin lakes safari lodge. (LDBB).
After breakfast, you will be driven to Kibale National Park where you will spend a night. Upon arrival, you will do an afternoon chimpanzee tracking that will take you about 2-3 hours. On the trek, you can see other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys along with red tailed and blue monkeys.
Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest's flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable. Kibale forest park is one of the parks that protects a moist evergreen forest. It is home to 13 species of chimpanzees which are man’s closest relative. Kibale National Park is located south of the town of Fort Portal; its main characteristics are the lush impenetrable forest, and, in particular, the numerous species of primates that populate it including black and white colobus, red-tailed monkeys and velvet monkeys.
Expert guides & visitors on the trail report that the meetings are very frequent and extremely exciting. It is best known for having the highest concentration of chimpanzees; you will get to meet these fantastic primates in their natural environment, some are accustomed to the presence of man because researchers have studied their behavior for over forty years. KIBALE FOREST CAMP. This is a tented camp located in a patch of vegetations ever green in the Kibale forest. Just outside the southern part of the national park, it boarders the magombe swamp, known for the Bigodi wetland sanctuary and just about 10mins to Kanyachu visitor’s center, the place where the chimpanzee trek starts from.
Breakfast will be served, after embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park where you will spend two nights at Kabalega wilderness camp. (LDBB). You will have a break on the way for lunch and the proceed to your journey to the park.
After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive to the rolling plains where you have chances of viewing Lions, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Buffalo and Elephant as well as many of the other mammals of the park. For the birders amongst you, these areas support the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow-Tailed Bee-Eaters, to pick just a few. This is a beautiful drive across Borassus Palm Forest and grassland savannah down to Lake Albert where the Albert Nile heads north to the Sudan. After this you will have a boat ride that will take you to a place where you will hike to the top of the falls Murchison falls is the biggest park in Uganda. This morning after breakfast, you will be driven Kidepo valley national park where you will spend two nights. The park lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s boarder with Sudan and Kenya. It was gazette as a national park in 1962, it has a profusion of big game and hosts 77 mammals’ spices as well as around 475 bird species. It is located in the north east of Kampala 780kms from Kampala about 13 hours and approximately 369kms from Murchison falls about 7 hours. Overnight at zebra safari lodge (LDBB).
ZEBRA SAFARI LODGE
This is a newly built mid-range accommodation facility in Kidepo valley national park. It is accessible both road and by a domestic flight about 2 hours from Entebbe international airport north east of Uganda. It gives the clients a breathtaking feel of wildlife because of its location.
On this day, we will have morning breakfast then proceed for the karamonjong (IK) experince. Cultural tourism is one of the best activities done in the park ad in uganda as travellers visit the karammojong, they visit their homesteads, and this is one of the best encounters that will excite you more about the nomadic pastoralists of uganda. After breakfast on this day, you will be transferred to sipi falls.this will take you about 4 hours. Sipi falls is a waterfll found on the foothills of mountain elgon just at the edge of mount elgon national park. Lunch will be served and then check in to your hotel. Overight at Sipi valley ldge. After breakfast on this day,you will set off to jinja city, theadventure capital of Uganda, right t the shoes of lake victoria. It is here that river nile has its source from lake victoria for its about 6650km journey to Egypt. Lunch will be sered at sailing clun restaurant and then head out to see the source of the nile in the lake by boat. Overnight at 2 friends Jinja (LDBB).
Early this morning, you will check out of your hotel in jinja and embark on your journey to Entebbe for departure. On your way, you will have a stopover at the bridge, that the signature for any jinja trip after the source of the Nile, for photos and then continue to Ssezibwa falls, Mabira for a forest walk and get to your way to Entebbe for departure depending on your flight schedule.
