4 Days – Amazing Aberdares Mt. Kenya and Lake Naivasha Safari

On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will Meet our Umoja Motherland tours driver-guide and after the safari briefing, drive to Aberdares National Park. Well known to the world as the home of succession where in came a princess and out went the Queen of England while at Treetops lodge, Aberdares is a land of fortune and diversity. The Park got its name from Lord Aberdares, one of the founder members of the Royal Geographical Society. Located in the central highlands, west of Mount Kenya and 160kms from Nairobi, the foothills of the Aberdares National Park is covered with huge trees, which, as you go higher, gradually give way to bamboo forests. From about 3, 000 meters upward the landscape consists primarily of alpine moorland which gives way to an area of grass land with, from time to time, Giant lobelias presenting an attractive contrast. Enjoy your afternoon and evening watching wildlife from the hotel terrace as they come to drink water at the waterhole. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge, Luxury 5Star Hotel. One of the most exhilarating features of this colonial styled hotel is the sweeping view of the waterhole from the large balcony on each of its three floors. The view of wildlife from here is up front and personal, with sightings impressive sightings of buffalos, warthogs, waterbucks and hyenas. You will face over 20 elephants literally under your nose. You won't have any interruptions as you watch them drink, eat, play, snuggle and bathe in a natural comfortable environment. The lodge is well laid out and surrounded by a jungle. Its rooms are exquisitely decorated. They are not that spacious but certainly clean and cozy. The same applies to the bathroom.
