corporate social responsibility

Improving local community livelihoods near tour attractions. Community development is not just a Government requirement for Umoja Africa journeys,It is an important conservation strategy and our corporate social responsibility.

We believe that in order for us to protect our wildlife, we have to address the poverty that compels the local communities towards poaching and destruction of the vegetations near protected areas. Contributing proceeds towards meaningful projects that serve the entire community such as health, education , clean water and solar power creates the necessary awareness within this society that wildlife is a precious natural resource that needs continuous protection for their own long-term benefit.

When you book a safari with us, you will enjoy the satisfaction in knowing that you are truly contributing to the betterment of lives of those less privileged. We have partnerships and collaboration with local communities near national parks for example Change a life project in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

We have designed a project where by a certain percentage of each trip you book we us is used to give back to the local communities, also through this corporate social responsibility program we have been able to participate with some clients to change the lives of locals for example we were able to bring solar electricity power to an entire village that had stayed in the dark for so long. We also take supplies to these communities in terms of scholastic materials, health items , food stuff and much more. Book our safaris and change someone’s life
